hockey. hockey's our game. but really, it's more than just a game. it's passion that brings us all together, on frozen ponds, at the community rink, and in our living rooms. it's the feeling you got the first time you stepped on the ice, the feeling you had when you scored your first goal. hockey is in our driveways, it's in our dreams, in every post-game celebration. it's in the streets every time your friend yells, 'Car,' in every rink across the country; it's in our hearts. hockey is that thought inside your head saying, 'Wouldn't it be amazing, getting up every day and playing, doing something that you love?'
that horrific moment when you're about to hit the "create post" button but you notice a terrible grammar mistake but there's nothing you can do about it and it's like watching a car crash in slow motion.
“The best advice that I have to give is to surround yourself with people that share similar values and morals as you. Ultimately, you own the right to make the decisions you do, and if that clashes with the decisions those around you are making, I suggest you find new friends.”—John O’Callaghan. “‘Cause sometimes, that mountain you’ve been climbing is just a grain of sand. When you’ve been out there searching for forever, it’s in your hand. When you figure out love is all that matters after all, it sure makes everything else seem so small.”—Carrie Underwood - So small (via quote-book)
a terrible disease that causes the infected person to fall in love with hockey. this disease will stay with you the rest of your life. it will wipe out your bank account, cause you to fall in love with many older men you might never meet, and causes random mood swings. once you go hockey, you can never go back.
